Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament
 

Event Dates: Jun. 11-19,2010
An exciting Crystal Coast tradition in mid-June, this is one of the largest sport-fishing tournaments in the country, and is fished by around 200 competitors in substantial cash categories. There are generally around 6 to 8 competitors in each boat.

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Cedar Point Board of Commissioners will hold its regular meeting at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, June 22, 2010

The Board will review the following request:

 

PUBLIC HEARING to REVIEW and TAKE ACTION on Zoning Ordinance Text Change Application TEXT-10-002: a request by Linda & S.D. Freeman to amend Article VII, Section 15-306(b) of the Cedar Point Zoning Ordinance to allow for the development and use of duplex units within a R-10 Residential District.

 

PUBLIC HEARING to REVIEW and TAKE ACTION for the purpose of considering and discussing the Town of Cedar Point’s Fiscal Year 2010-2011 Operating Budget.

 

The above items can be changed or amended at the public hearing.

 

Citizens are welcome to attend and express opinion at the hearing.  Person with disabilities who require special accommodations or auxiliary aids should contact the Town Clerk at (252)393-7898 at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled meeting.

This 50th annual walking tour of private historic homes, gardens, churches and meeting halls is the last full weekend of June.  Private homes, Beaufort Historic Site buildings, the Old Burying Ground, narrated bus tours of the historic district, music concerts and an antique car show are all highlights of this signature event.

Carteret County Comprehensive Plan
 

The Transportation Planning Branch (TPB) of the North Carolina Department of Transportation, in a joint effort with Carteret County, in cooperation with the Down East Rural Planning Organization (DERPO), is developing a transporation plan for Carteret County.  The transporation plan is a long-range vision that identifies major transportation improvements over the next 30 years.  This survey is an opportunity to tell us what you think about transporation in our community. 

 Please take 5 minutes to complete this survey, your input is vital in developing a plan that meet the future needs of the citizens of Carteret County.
