Scott is serving his third term on the Cedar Point Board of Commissioners. Prior to serving as Mayor and a Commissioner, Scott served two years on the Cedar Point Planning Board. Scott graduated from Swansboro High in 1972 and attended Coastal Carolina Community College. Scott is retired from Lowe’s Home Centers with thirty-one years of service.

Scott and his wife, Nancy, have one son, Dylan. They enjoy fishing, going to the gym and riding bikes around the beautiful town of Cedar Point.
